The play were on

Friday 8/1 at 5:30 p.m.,

Sunday 8/3 at 8:30 p.m.,

Tuesday 8/5 at 7 p.m.,

Thursday 8/7 5:30 p.m.,

& Saturday 8/9 at 1 p.m.

The first day wasn’t a bright day for the actors. Everyone was nervous and pretty still. It was said that it looks like the play was more of like someone reading a script. As the week went by our actors started to gain progress. We had some good review on Thursday 8/7, and on our last day Saturday 8/9 everybody did a pretty good job up on stage. Our dancers were pretty good through out the week. They had some mistake up on stage but they corrected it with well cover up acts.

My first work experience was at the YWCA. In this program we watched little kids and helped them out with their homework. Every Monday and Wednesday we watch the kids at City-view. Tuesdays and Thursdays we went to Olson Middle School.

It was a fun experience, but it was also a frightening experience since I didn’t know anyone. To make things easier for me, I hung out with the kids more and got to know them better. Soon others like the elders started talking to me.

By the time I quit I had a lot of friends and a lot of free time. With the friends I made while working with the Y, we made a lot of mini videos. So my first work experience wasn’t bad or good—it was okay.

Marijuana & Meth

DENIAL

by Albert

Meth became a part of my life when I was 14 years old. I was instantly hooked. I would stay up for days on meth. I eventually tried to quit, but control was impossible. I was powerless over meth; I just didn’t realize it or wouldn’t admit it at the time. I couldn’t quit.

Marijuana & Meth

DRAWN BY NEEDLE

by Tang

I had my first child when I was 16. By the time my girls were 9 and 10 years old, I had started using meth. First I was snorting, smoking and drawn, but by this time I was allowing someone else or myself to stick a needle in my arm.
