Teen Pregnancy

At school I see teens that is pregnant. I don’t know why they want to have kids so early at that age and some pregnant teens are even younger than me. I can’t even believe that. Maybe it was accidental or they just don’t know the situation of having a child. Or they’re not educated about pregnancy. I’m not trying to be racist, but at school I mostly see young black or latino girls pregnant. I don’t know what’s up with them, but it’s their problem. I hope I never get in situation like that. I believe that teens could make their own choice, but make the right decision. Don’t just getting into these type of situations. Think ahead and plan.

Alcohol

Beer is just like any other alcohol. It is bitter and sometimes taste plain.I know I tried drinking beer, but I’m not addicted to it. I mostly drink beer on special ocassions like at hmong ceremonies because when relatives give beer to my dad, he’ll either tell them he can’t drink it or give it to us.

Just recently it was my cousins wedding. One of my uncle came back and he’ll acted all weird and stuff because you know how people act when their drunk. He’ll tell us that he represent us, that he stood against 10 people in drinking and still standing. My thoughts was that he is tough and super drunk. Alcohol or beer is one thing that people like to drink. For our family we only use beer for ceremonies or sometimes once in a while one or couple of my family will drink beer just for the heck of it. They say it’s always good to have cold beer on a hot sunny day. Thats what they like. For me, I think beer is good for sometimes.

My summer!

Hey, my name is Vang.

This summer of 2010 I was accepted to work in Asian Media Access, Graphics Group. I thought this summer was pretty fun, but busy. Working with new people and making new friends. I thought the hardest part was making the postcards because you always have to have a slogan that fits with the image or subject. But soon, later I learn how to make it simpler. It took some time for me. So that’s over. So then comes the other classes like finacial classes, the disscussion group, was kind of exciting and opening. I learned a thing or two about finacial, what’s going in our community and so on. In our group we’ll goof off alittle and go back to work. So it wasn’t so boring at times. I thought it was a good thing to have breaks during work. So we could have time off and take a break. My experience is that this summer was okay.

Body Image PSA-

RADIO PSA 1- (15 second)

It’s up to you to break up the false statement. Don’t let others false statements get to you towards how you look.

Only you know yourself the best, no one else does.

Have a positive attitude, rather than worrying about how you look.

You’re not going to change anything, if you just sit there.

Go out and do something. Enjoy who you are.

Other judgments can make you think different.

So don’t let it get into your mind.

RADIO PSA 2- (15 second)

Body image has affected teens, adults, and much more. It changes how they look at themselves differently. Making people think that there’s something wrong with them, that they need to change. Making them frustrated and confuse. If this affects you, you don’t need to worry about how you look. You‘re fine already, Nobody knows you better than yourself. Be yourself.
