Title:

This year the camp will be in conjunction with the Asian Pacific Americans Conference, titled “Leadership for Generation Next.” The purpose of this conference is to give Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders the opportunity to talk about issues that affect their pursuit of education.

Chang is one of fourteen journalists sponsored by New America Media to attend the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Denver, CO.  The journalists are from different publications across the nation, each of which is rooted in a specific cultural background.  These journalists come together to make up a delegation which truly represents the richness and diversity of culture in the U.S.  The journalists will attend the convention and outside events, and produce pieces that will appear in their publications, as well as on the New America Media website www.newamericamedia.org.  The journalists are as follows:

The first day wasn’t a bright day for the actors. Everyone was nervous and pretty still. It was said that it looks like the play was more of like someone reading a script. As the week went by our actors started to gain progress. We had some good review on Thursday 8/7, and on our last day Saturday 8/9 everybody did a pretty good job up on stage. Our dancers were pretty good through out the week. They had some mistake up on stage but they corrected it with well cover up acts.

After group criticism, group selection, a couple of iterations later, this is the winning design for the Youth In Charge logo by Pheng Vang.

Congratulations, Pheng! Good work.

To others that were not selected: your ideas were very good, but presentation accounts for a major part of why one design is selected over others. Keep it up!
