mi summa dis year wuz da best summa i had n years. every summa i would sit n mi house nd do nothin, id watch t.v, play video games, but dis summa i actually did somethin. i got 2 hang out wit a few friends at work, go 2 class at north high, go on a canoe trip, go 2 camp sunrise, nd a lot more. how could i 4get, i got $$$$. dis summa wuz a blast 4 me, i really had a great time.

Description: Annual Youth Media Camp to learn about media production in video, photography, Photoshop, Garageband. At the end of the 4-day camp, you and your team have a media package including video, postcards, and written materials for a topic that you decide on.

This year the camp will be in conjunction with the Asian Pacific Americans Conference, titled “Leadership for Generation Next.” The purpose of this conference is to give Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders the opportunity to talk about issues that affect their pursuit of education.

August 3 – It is a complete shock to find out that MCP (Minnesota Center for Photography) has ceased operation as of July 31st, 2008. It is a great lost of resource for us, and for the community. The announcement on the MCP homepage gives more details.

Five of the youths’ photographs have been selected to the MCP Connects photo exhibit that runs from July 26 to October 5. Here are the 5 photos now on display.
